its funny how people tend to have selective memories. take for instance DAVE GOLDSWORTHY. the former CHESTERFIELDS singer/songwriter, and talented guitarist. it was well documented that he sadly died in a road accident in oxford a couple of years back.rumours of a hit and run bounced around.sadly i believe it was just an unfortunate accident. anyway god bless him, and he is sadly missed by many. i read various tributes to the man from the likes of SIMON[ROY NORTH ] BARBER, an the like. praising him for his works with THE CHESTERFIELDS, and FURNT, but no mention of his previous band THE SYSTEM who gigged for a few years around the west country, and in my opinion a superior band to the others. the biggest travesty is that no one seems to remember that he shared guitar duties with DAVE WORKMAN[later of THE FLESH MACHINE] in the worlds greatest rock'n'roll band.ROCKET RON and THE DEATHTRIPS. i suppose on reflection this is hardly surprising. as these dudes only want to champion themselves. its this sort of thing that leaves me all poohed up.
